MKO at Burberry

Mary-Kate Olsen at Burberry, I'm clearly obsessed.

Burberry Prorsum Fall 2010 RTW

My favorite show so far. Christopher Bailey at Burberry clearly knows how to work the jacket. He showed some amazing coat choices that played with variations on volume and shape, like giant-collared shearlings, military-drab overcoats, and parkas. His python over the knee boots were fabulous making the models look extra leggy when paired with over sized coats and slimming shirt dresses. If over the knee isn't for you, Bailey showed a great alternative with boots accessorized with leather strap and buckle details. My favorites were the oversized beige peacoat and the navy coat with detachable bottom. Bailey showed a myriad of fashion options that were militaristic yet feminine. Forget the Art of The Trench, Burberry clearly has mastered the art of any coat. You can watch the show below:

Label: Joseph

The label: Joseph has apparently been around London since the 70's, yet lowly old me is just now discovering it. It's got some girly cocktail dress but is moving towards a leather edgier style a la Carine Roitfeld. You can find it online at Intermix, Net-a-Porte, and shopbop.

Street Style: Androgyny

I love love love androgyny, and miss thang here epitomizes it. I'm loving the lingerie top, statement necklace and low crotch jeans (no need for the tuck under?)

Street Style: Banded Leggings

I'm loving this girl's look. The silver and black banded leggings are great plus the shearling coat is not bad either. Although I could probably do the same with duct tape on my legs.

Vivienne Westwood Red Label Fall 2010 RTW

London Fashion Week has arrived, and with it Vivienne Westwood! The collection had Vivenne's iconic punk meets couture signature plus some sort of climate change political message as models walked wearing tees sporting the phrase"Loyalty 2 Gaia". The collection sported some great shirt dresses in Westwood's beloved tartan, an amazing tribal blanket coat, and my favorite a strapless dress in sequined leopard spot. The heart shaped lapel on her little suits were a nice touch as was a pink tartan wrap around the waist of a shirt dress. I don't know exactly how the collection respected mother earth, but liked it simply out of loyalty 2 Viv. So here are my favorite looks!

Let's hope these don't become a trend.

Street Style

I'm loving the layering in this outfit. I love wearing leggings with a long tee and jacket and this girl seems to have mastered the look. Plus her scarf is amazing and the boots add to a really great color pallet.

My Favorite Models of NY Fashion Week

Monika Jagaciak. The Blogs have appointed her the model of the moment. She seemed to own Fashion Week, walking at almost every major show. Plus she is only 16 and deliciously skinny! She opend at Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, and Ralph Lauren. She closed Ralph Lauren and Herve Leger.

Natalia Vodianova. A seasoned pro and fashion heavy hitter looked great last week on the runway. Although she only walked two shows, she opened and closed them both at Alexander Wang and Diane Von Furstenberg.

Karlie Kloss. The Fashion world seems to be going gaga over Karlie. The 18 year old has an amazing walk and medusa gaze that rules the runway. Although she did not open any shows, does she really need too? She is the face of Hermes and Dior and has Vogue editorials in spades. She closed at Carolina Herrera.

Ralph Lauren Fall 2010 RTW

Ralph Lauren's fall show was truly ethereal. The models floated down the runway to a haunting rendition of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" and Fleetwood Mac's "Sister's of The Moon". Lauren had some amazing edwardian tailoring and great romantic floral prints. There were many a puffed shoulder and jewel-toned velvet tops which added to the bohemian feel of the collection. Some of my favorites were a fitted charcoal herringbone jacket and suede tunics with leg-of mutton sleeves sashed at the waist over leggings. The was clearly an equestrian theme throughout some of the collection that mixed masculine with feminine. I loved the idea of layering floral print long dresses over lacy long-sleeve tees and his accessories were divine and added to the collection's mystic, a treasure trove of beaded necklaces, beanies and fingerless lace gloves. It was a mix of bohemian artistry with classic Ralph Lauren prep.

Here are some of my favorite looks plus nymag.com's video of the show:
