Ralph Lauren's fall show was truly ethereal. The models floated down the runway to a haunting rendition of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" and Fleetwood Mac's "Sister's of The Moon". Lauren had some amazing edwardian tailoring and great romantic floral prints. There were many a puffed shoulder and jewel-toned velvet tops which added to the bohemian feel of the collection. Some of my favorites were a fitted charcoal herringbone jacket and suede tunics with leg-of mutton sleeves sashed at the waist over leggings. The was clearly an equestrian theme throughout some of the collection that mixed masculine with feminine. I loved the idea of layering floral print long dresses over lacy long-sleeve tees and his accessories were divine and added to the collection's mystic, a treasure trove of beaded necklaces, beanies and fingerless lace gloves. It was a mix of bohemian artistry with classic Ralph Lauren prep. Monday, February 22, 2010
