Chanel Resort 2011

sorry about the lack of updates, but now that summer is here I can devote more time to this blog, so what's a better way to start the summer than with chanel?

Hundreds of guest gathered at Saint-Tropez's famous Café Sénéquier so see the Karl Lagerfeld's latest resort collection for Chanel. The atmosphere of a quintessential Riviera movie, models arrived at Quai Jean Jaurès via speedboat and walked the street turned runway like carefree jet-setters. Plus champagne and bocce at the post-show after party captured the very essence of casual living.

here are my fave looks from the show:

after party :
Elisa Sednaovi
Jake Davies & Caroline Siebv
Baptiste, Sébiastien Jondeau, Vanessa Paradis, Karl
Joshua Jackson & Diane Kruger
Leigh Lezark & André Saraiva
Georgia May Jagger & Amanda Harlech

Chanel Fall 2010 RTW

I'm at a lost for words after seeing the looks at the Chanel show on Tuesday. The Grand Palais was transformed into an arctic scene where Karl had his models dressed as wookies walk the runway. He clearly used more fur than he ever flung at Fendi, yet unfortunately it was all fake. Why Karl? Why??? Shaggy fur pants, skirts, fur woven into tweeds, it was as if a tibetan-terrier shed all over my Chanel. Don't get me wrong there were some great looks too, wonderful angora sweater dresses, amazing knitwear, tweed dresses and skirts. Especially towards the end, some amazing knit and angora dresses with lace. The accessories were great too. Rock crystal neck pieces, bangles, giant cocktail rings. Translucent clutches that looked like the quilting and CC logo had been frozen in an ice tray. As for the models, Karl's favorite boy toy Baptiste Giabiconi walked the runway plus fashion's own abominable snowman Lara Stone, plus Erin Wasson looking like she just came out of a Ke$ha video. So here are my fave looks and alot of other Chanel goodies.

my favorite look! wool tights, angora hot pants, and Siri Tollerød
