Trend Spotting: Kate Moss Wore Her Romper Backwards

Kate Moss launched her spring/summer Topshop collection today wearing a romper from the line, backwards. This seems to be a trend among young starlets lately as both Amanda Seyfried and Angelina Jolie wore dresses backwards to events this past year.

I Want You

The YSL Muse Two in Military Garb.I love how industrial it looks,  apparently made for a special collection for YSL's favorite editors, here under the arm of Carine Roitfeld, who rarely carries a bag.

Pin it to Me

Alber Elbaz @ Lanvin made these great embroidered tie pins. They look great tacked onto a tie, blazer lapel, even a hat!

Top Ten Fall Essentials

The fall runways looked pared-down and ultra clean this season. i'm getting my closet started with some of these trends.
flares: Nineties revival, leg stretching flares made a comeback, here at balmain, these boot cut trousers are the perfect alternative to pencil thin skinnys
Velvet: For the more tactile shopper, velvet was huge this fall and is a great winter texture seen here @ Joseph Altuzarra
The Camel Coat: Bringing back beige designers sent a lot of camel down the runway. I love the oversize menswear vibe seen here @ Chloé
Shearling: time to hang up your biker jackets as shearling was everywhere from Burberry to this Reed Krakoff number. I can't wait to stay warm in a shearling aviator.
statement gloves: black leather seems so bland when Rodarte's driving gloves are stitched together from cut leather and hand-tatted lace.
fur bag: I just adore fur and can't get enough of it, so F the recession and i'm getting me a Marc by Marc Jacobs' lamb fur bag to break the hearts of peta
short, cuffed jeans: I like the fifties rebel look with pointy toed pumps, varsity jackets, and a pony tail, and some cuffed capri-length jeans are the perfect way to pull it off. now, let's go meet danny zuko under the bleachers.
cropped sweater: I love this proenza schouler cropped sweater, perfect with high waisted jeans or rocking over the shoulder at jazzercise.
Maxi Skirt: MK&A brought skirts to new lengths at the Row, and longer skirts look great for fall
double- breasted jacket: a double-breasted blazer like this Bottega Veneta piece is brilliant, or maybe it just looks great on Karlie.

Hair Did

I'm kinda obsessing over braids right now. A perfect look for the transition from winter to spring. I like that you can get this disheveled look without having your hair all free flowing and messy. Here are some perfect plaits on Anja Rubik from Paris Vogue's March issue.

Trend Spotting: Furry Feet

Fur is all over the place lately, from Louis Vuitton's foxtail purse charms to classic coats. But the new trend seems to be fur on your feet. Michael Kors (pictured on the left), Ralph Lauren, J.Mendel and Zac Posen all used fur on shoes at their 2010 runway shows. Perfect to stomp on the hearts of PETA!
